Disadvantages of Chlorine Treatment

 
.   Chlorine is not an effective biocide above pH  7.8 
.   Water with pH below 7.2 is very irritable to the skin. 
.   Water must be chemically balanced. 
.   Chlorine is very unstable 
.   50% added Chlorine disappears to the atmosphere 
.   45 % of the added Chlorine goes to react organics
.   Only  5% will be for residual chlorine for sanitation.
.   Expensive carcinogenic stabilzer needs to be added to retain the added Chlorine that is added.
.   Note  Chlorine has NO SMELL. The smell that people mistake as Chlorine is actually the carcinogen Chloramine.
.  Chlorine gas irritates nose & lungs. It is corrosive to skin and internals.  Chloramine is TOXIC and CARCINOGENOUS. is irritating to the eyses  Chlorine causes smells on  hair , skin and damages clothes
.  Regular superchlorination required to remove Chloramines.
. Ozone on the other hand does not cause smell to hair, clothes or skin  or eyes.

OZONE OPERATION AND REDOX LEVELS

•Existing pool, no need to change the water, 
. Any organic material like stabilizers will be destroyed by Ozone.
•Operating times adjustable depending on volume.
. Mandatory operating times, at least 8 hours per day.
•Redox values used to set the times: 
. Operate system until the redox level reaches 600 mV. 
. Add a cup of Chlorine to restore to 750 mV
•System can increase Redox voltage higher if operating longer.
•Govt laws stipulate 1 ppm for Domestic Chlorine systems 
. With RestEze this level of Chlorine is only with 0.1ppm
.With no saltwater Chlorination, need 2 cups Chlorine per week.
.If operating on a new pool, the water will be very brown and cloudy will will restore to clean and clear within 24 hours of operation.
.If old pool, water will be cloudy white or a few weeks, then clear.
